Writing Skills & Creative Writing

“You can make anything by writing.” —C.S. Lewis

Our writing classes provide the tools to facilitate an open dialogue between a child and his writing craft in a positive, nonjudgmental, welcoming environment. Budding writers of all ages, would be pleasantly surprised to see their own authentic voice, and imaginations so beautifully expressed in words, and discover their innate love for writing in this endeavor. Beginning with basic writing skills to creating your own masterpiece writing, our classes emphasize daily writing habits, positive feedback, freedom of expression, and a lot of reading.

Communication and Presentation

“The art of communication is the language of leadership” - James Humes

Communication is core to building human connections. Our courses unlock the secrets, tools, and techniques of effective presentation and communication in a systematic manner. Beginning with a free flow show and tell activity, to delivering an engaging  speech, and effective debating and declamation, we learn and practice organizing what we want to say, and  practice how to say it best, in a safe, positive, and welcoming community.  We reflect on our work, and give and take positive feedback and repeat the process. We believe practice makes progress.

Social Skills

“If there is even one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view and see things from that person’s angle and then your own” - Dale Carnegie

The development of social mind and social thinking in children, equips & empowers them with the means to interpret, and respond to people (their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors) and situations. Implicit and explicit training of social skills, and the development of social and emotional intelligence is critical for children of all ages to have positive friendships, and relationships, and to better navigate social challenges in school, at work, and at home

Character & Leadership

“Character in leadership is the most important balance for leadership. Without character, leaders have no safety. Leadership has no protection without character.” - Myles Munroe

Developing compelling character and leadership skills are critical for young people to succeed in school and in life. Learners today are faced with many more novel situations and complex problems, with the advent of new technologies and the infinite possibilities it enabled. Our classes instill  personal values, character traits, ethics, emotional maturity,  civic responsibilities and so on skills in children, beginning from a very young age. Students learn real world problem solving such as conflict resolution, negotiation, resilience, time management, working with disruptions, planning, and more in our novel classes.

Physical Fitness and Wellbeing

“A moment of self compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life” - Christopher Germer

With the transition to digital learning, exposure to infinite information on digital media, and numerous social media and gaming platforms, it is imperative to pay close attention to children’s physical fitness and wellbeing as they process the novel challenges, and situations, this transition brings along. Our classes are rooted in holistic physical fitness, self compassion, and mindfulness practices. We engage young people across the world in thoughtful conversations, mindfulness & self compassion practices, and physical fitness exercises thus equipping them to better handle stress,  demands, difficulty, decisions, expectations, uncertainity, and ambiguity at hand,  and emerge happier and healthier.

Visual Arts and Crafts

“Be drawn to the visual arts for it can expand your imagination.” -Barbara Januszkiewicz

We offer a variety of visual arts, and crafts classes, like drawing, painting, sketching, cartooning, video editing,  origami,  paper crafts and more. The idea is to provide a supporting space for learning, and mastering  skills,  while improving children’s fine motor, spatial, perceptual, creative, and critical thinking skills through practice. Most importantly, our approach emphasizes the child’s need to express themselves freely through art and when we let that happen, both the child and the teacher are pleasantly surprised to see what unfolds on the canvas.

Career Conversations

“Don’t ever give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts” - Albert Einstein

Open career conversations is perhaps the most important, but least discussed subject among young people today as the society puts incredible pressure on to commit to a career path quickly, and prepare extensively for success in the chosen path.  Through these classes, we intend to create a platform that promotes sustained conversations about career choices, dreams, coaching, and planning. Together we explore career options, planning strategies and tools, empowering young people to take charge of their career. More importantly we draw young people to ask, and find answers to some of the obvious, but difficult questions that arise in making and changing career choices and planning. We use real life experiences and advises from role models, and self learning, and self reflection strategies to instill confidence and resilience.
