When a student can read and comprehend, there remains no limits to his learning pursuit. Beginning with basic reading skills to comprehending and analyzing complex texts, reading power is so critical for young learners to unlock the secrets, stories, and experiences of past, present, and future, and of course, the wonderful world of fiction and fantasy. Most importantly, reading comprehension is not only critical for improved academic performance & thinking skills, but also for winging children’s imagination, developing their social emotional skills, and promoting better self, and world understanding. In this series, we improve reading fluency & comprehension using evidence based reading strategies, and skill exercises, engaging learners in variety of fictional and non fictional reading (short stories, fables, folk tales, poems, essays and more) of varying levels. We bring learners of all ages to reading willingly with engaging content, and fun, & interactive learning methods. They graduate from here to become lifelong readers with keen understanding.
Reading & Comprehension Classes for Ages 5-8 / Grades K-2
We draw little learners to reading by emphasizing fluency, comprehension strategies and skills, incrementally building children’s engagement, attention, and reading love. Each session engages children in read alouds, collaborative reading, games, visualization, critical thinking, and more reading exercises. We bring a carefully curated list of reading text consisting of interesting short stories, excerpts from classics, essays, biographies, poems, fairy tales & fables, that are appropriate for their age and reading level. Additionally we target oral communication, reading expression, listening, and critical thinking skillsWe pay individual attention and make space for each child to progress at their own pace.
45 minutes per class – 8 classes per session
once a week for 8 weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks

Emerging / Beginner Readers Program
A reading foundations course that develops fluency and basic comprehension skills such as identifying main idea, cause and effect, story sequencing using small passages, stories, and picture books. Children learn to decode & sound words, word meanings, sight words, reading expression along side, to further their reading skills. We read aloud, read together, read alone, read n act, play reading games, and have fun reading more & more here
Reading Comprehension for Gifted Readers
This class is for readers with exceptional ability to decode words, and memorize spellings and self learn to read advanced text fluently. We engage our exceptional readers in comprehension, and critical thinking exercises like identifying cause and effect, compare and contrast, analyzing characters and stories, understanding author’s purpose, making predictions and inferences and more. Our gifted learners better engage and connect with stories and characters while implicitly learning social skills like empathy, social problem solving, understanding emotions, and social expectations .
Intermediate / Advanced Readers Program
In this class our independent young readers will further their reading fluency, by reading higher level text, and learn strategies to sustain focus & pay greater attention to detail. Mainly readers learn comprehension skills like identifying main idea & details, sequencing, who, what, where & when, cause & effect, author’s purpose, fantasy or reality and making predictions and compare and contrast, thus building reading proficiency.
Little Readers Book Club
This free flow reading lovers’ class is all about getting together and reading our favorite books and talking about our favorite characters, events, authors, illustrations, words, and phrases and also our not so favorite stuff. Readers explore a collection of books based on cartoon/animation characters, classic fairy tales, princess, pirates, and cowboy stories in this fun club. Together we build our vocabulary, language, oral communication, and social skills while reading our favorites. Can it get any better?
Reading & Comprehension Classes for Ages 8-11 / Grades 3-5
Children further their reading and comprehension proficiency, by learning and practicing more strategies and skills, while engaging with a rich variety of text. We delve into stories and characters – real and fictional – figuring out the main idea and theme, finding clues in details, making inferences and predictions, understanding each character and situation, comparing and contrasting characters & stories, visualizing, and relating with the characters and situations and problem solving in each session. Most importantly we make it fun, and interactive, and ensure that all children connect with the text by providing the required tools, energetic & positive environment, and individual attention to guide the process.
55 minutes per class – 8 classes per session
once a week for 8 weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks

Reading Comprehension Program Level 1 (Grades 3 & 4)
A highly recommended, must have class for readers in grades3 & 4 where children engage in reading a variety of fictional short stories, poems, and more and non fictional text, applying comprehension skills and strategies, they learn in class. They engage in guided comprehension activities with teacher, and work in teams and individually, stretching and flexing their developing comprehension muscles.
We make reading a highly engaging and meaningful endeavor for children by bringing in a variety of carefully curated, rich and relevant source texts, that capture their interests and curiosity. Most importantly we make reading & comprehension effortless and fun, and develop skills incrementally.
Weeks 1-4: strategies – make connections, visualization and organization. Skills – main idea & details, character & setting & sequencing.
Weeks 5-8: reading strategies – determine important details, ask questions and monitor comprehension. Skills – facts & opinions, cause & effect, author’s purpose.
Weeks 9-12: strategies – make connections, ask questions & organization. Skills – compare & contrast, make inferences, & visual information.
Weeks 13-16: strategies – determine important details, visualization & monitor comprehension. Skills – making predictions, fantasy vs reality, and non fictional text features.
Reading Comprehension Program Level 2 (Grades 4 & 5)
This highly recommended reading comprehension program for advanced grade4 & grade 5 readers, is very similar in structure to the level1 program. Readers engage in comprehension and critical thinking with more complex (higher level) text, spanning different genres. They engage in more open ended exercises, and problem solving that requires connecting, and comprehending at a deeper level.
Most importantly, the program draws children to reading, and reading with intention, attention and focus by engaging them in interesting conversations, discussions, exercises, and fun activities & games.
In this 16 weeks program, children read a variety of fictional and non fictional text each session, use reading strategies and skills and engage in deep reading exercises. See below for information on what we read & delve into each session
Weeks 1-4: Fiction – comedy & historic fiction. Non fiction – Narrative & persuasive non fiction.
Weeks 5-8: Fiction – hyperbole &science fiction. Non fiction – Biographies & expository non fiction
Weeks 9-12: Fiction – magic, mystery & myth. Non fiction – opinion essays, journals, & memoirs
Weeks 13-16: Fiction – traditional tales & poetry. Non fiction – educational text & motivational speech.
Affective Comprehension Program for Gifted Readers
This class is designed for readers with high potential and or exceptional reading ability. The idea is to leverage their exceptional reading ability, visual memory, & such cognitive skills to engage with text at a deeper level, developing affective skills like regulating emotions, empathy, discovering identity, understanding characters and situations, and finding inspiration & motivation to achieve in spite of adversity.
We bring a selected collection of relevant stories & situations in various forms, and invite our gifted readers to go deep, and connect with the characters, understand their motivations, constraints, their choices, and consequences, using carefully crafted probing questions.
Our readers slowly extrapolate the situations, choices, decisions, and consequences that our characters face onto themselves and engage in self reflection, problem solving, and develop deeper understanding.
We ensure our gifted readers feel very comfortable by creating a positive, connected, and fun reading space. This is an ongoing course that progresses incrementally for 20 weeks, offered as 4 week sessions. Our exceptional readers love to return to this safe and fun reading space for multiple sessions to find connections and discover themselves.
Young Readers Book Club
This free flow reading lovers’ class is all about getting together and reading our favorite books and talking about our favorite characters, events, authors, illustrations, words and phrases and our not so favorite stuff. Readers explore a collection of diverse books from various series, reflecting on many things relevant to them through stories. Together we build our vocabulary, language, communication, and social skills while reading our favorites with our friends. Can it get any better?
Reading & Comprehension Courses for Ages 11-14/Grades 6-8
Youngsters continue to grow and enrich their reading and comprehension in our fun filled, lively learning space. We offer multiple ongoing programs in 4 weeks sessions, allowing students the flexibility to join for a single session or an entire program. Our reading programs offer wonderful avenues for middle schoolers to better their reading process, engage in critical reading, and problem solving thereby improving their academic performance greatly. Our programs invite youth to pause & take a break from the attention hogging screen entertainment, and engage with books and be pleasantly surprised by the richness of language & literature and the wonderful worlds they create. Our students develop lasting relationship with reading, and like minded peers, and feel a sense of belonging and connection, in our energetic, and interactive classes.

Critical Reading & Comprehension Program
This program is intended to compliment middle school readers’ comprehension and critical reading skills, helping them achieve better results in school, while engaging in reading joy.
Most importantly each class offers a safe space and opportunity to exercise, assess, and improve their reading proficiency along side their peers. Young people greatly benefit from the exposure to a variety of text of all genres from all times, meaningful small group conversations & discussions, engaging reading activities, learning effective reading strategies & skills, continuous feedback and individual attention from teachers, and daily practice
Youngsters understand multiple perspectives, develop understanding & problem solving skills, develop vocabulary, build knowledge, draw inspiration, form lasting friendships with books and peers, while experiencing true pleasure in reading. This 20 week program is offered as 4 week sessions with each session covering a specific set of reading skills and strategies while reading texts of differentgenres of increasing level. PreTeen & Teen Poetry Reading Club
This class is specifically for youngsters who have a leaning and liking for poetry. We read and research a variety of poetry works, and delve into the depths of poetic beauty, each week. We engage in imagination, visualization & high order thinking as we discuss, and analyze various forms of poetry and the works of award winning poets.
PreTeen & Teen Fiction Reading Club
This free flow class, engages youngsters in reading selected fiction books of different genres from classics to contemporary works. Each class, we preview a book(or part of a book) to read that week, and review the books read in the previous week. Young people engage in meaningful conversations, delightful debates, critical analysis, generate & share interesting ideas and thoughts related to the book of the week with their peers as guided by the teacher. Most importantly they inspire each other, to read more, to wing their imaginations & creativity; and lure each other to escape into the ever beautiful reading space.
PreTeen & Teen Reading Club
Each week we read a book or media article from our collection of selected books and print from different genres. We meet twice a week, where we engage in interesting conversations, debates, reading exercises, and games – previewing and reviewing what we read that week. We inspire each other to read, read more, to read with intention, and focus, and reap the best results from the wonderful world of books.
PreTeen & Teen Nonfiction Reading Club
The non fiction reading club is very similar in structure to the fiction reading club program. Young people improve their factual knowledge, develop critical thinking & debate skills, expand their interests & generate new ideas, as they engage in reading selected non fictional reading like biographies & autobiographies, memoirs, blogs, media articles and scientific publications.
Reading & Comprehension for Ages 14 Plus / Grades 9-12
Our reading courses invite young people to read more, to read with intent and focus, to go deeper, escape, adventure, connect with written and relieve stress. Our expert teachers, & engaging small group classes support the reading goals of high schoolers, be it improving academic performance or embarking on an immersive literature reading journey of their interest. Young readers form deep connection with writers, fellow readers, teachers and books through the act of reading. Most importantly, youngsters perceive this space to be safe and supportive, with freedom to share ideas, validate their thinking, & find inspiration.
High School English Language and Literature Support
This customizable program is taught by a team of expert high school, and college level english teachers. We teach relevant skills and strategies, and provide effective learning scaffolds for students to achieve success in high school English. This year long program is offered as multiple 4 weeks sessions. The course content of each session is customized to meet the specific reading needs of students.
Our expert team is well versed with the english language and literature requirements, scope, and testing methods of various standard curricula. In our small group setting, young people have greater opportunity to improve their reading skills & comprehension and connect with peers. Our outside school reading engagement is highly beneficial to aspiring English language learners as they draw from, and exercise reading skills and strategies in diverse ways.
Teens & Young Adults Nonfiction Reading Club
The non fiction reading club is very similar in structure to the fiction reading club program. Young people improve their factual knowledge, develop critical thinking & debate skills, expand their interests, generate new ideas, as they engage in reading selected non fictional reading like biographies & autobiographies, memoirs, blogs, media articles and scientific publications.
Teens & Young Adult Poetry Reading Club
This class is specifically for poetry loving youth. We read and research a variety of poetry, and delve into the depths of poetic beauty, each week. We engage in imagination, visualization & high order thinking as we discuss, and analyze various forms of poetry and the works of great poets. Young people love this place of wonder, where they feather their own imagination & creativity as they scale the depths of poetry.
Teens & Young Adults Fiction Reading Club
This free flow class, engages youth in reading selected fiction books of different genres from classics to contemporary works. Each class previews a book(or part of a book) to read that week, and reviews the books read in the previous week. Young people engage in meaningful conversations, delightful debates, critical analysis, generate & share interesting ideas and thoughts related to the book of the week, with their peers as guided by the teacher. Most importantly they inspire each other, to read more, to wing their imaginations & creativity; and lure each other to escape into the ever beautiful reading space.
